Reads your baseline
Open the folder with expected-ports.csv and earlier reports, and the agent reads, searches and updates them.
Southcode Desk is a Windows agent for a port checker routine on devices you own. It does not scan by itself: it runs the scanner you already use, reads what that scanner saved, compares it with your baseline and writes a short report. You choose the mode. In Ask first you approve each change.
Open the folder with expected-ports.csv and earlier reports, and the agent reads, searches and updates them.
Shell starts the command you chose and shows the real exit code on a card.
Ask first pauses before actions that change something. Plan only writes a plan and runs nothing.
Paperwork is the agent's part. The scanner finds the ports, and each finding then becomes a keep, close or check line in a report that you read, change and accept as a diff.

The agent reads expected-ports.csv with read_file, searches the new scan with grep, and edit_file proposes changing one row from keep to close. Nothing is saved yet. To open ports more securely, or to secure open ports you must keep, http_get can read the service's documentation pages for the setting that limits who can reach it, and the agent writes the options into a plan in Plan only mode. Shell then runs your scanner again. Read the diff, accept only the rows you agree with, and compare the second scan before you trust the result.
A scan means little a month later unless you can see what was compared. Your scanner command writes each scan under scans/, and write_file saves each report under reports/. The saved scan is the record, so check every row of the report against that raw file. Even a free network scan utility that documents devices leaves the comparison to you, and the agent drafts it while you decide. Ask first pauses before each file is written. Open a report beside the raw file and compare a few rows by hand before you trust the table. Check them.
Southcode Desk is not an open port scanner, a hosted service or a plugin. The scope is yours. It runs the commands you approve, so keep scans to devices you own or may test; any other use is outside its intended use and your responsibility. It cannot guarantee that code, scans or analysis are correct.
