Privacy: what this site and the app collect

This website
The pages are static. Our hosting provider and a content delivery network process IP addresses and access logs to deliver the pages to you. A visit counter from statinside.com records page visits.
When you press the download button, the site records the time, your IP address, your browser user agent and the referral source, if there is one, to count downloads. Then it redirects you.
The Southcode Desk app
No telemetry. The app runs locally, and your chats, working folders and API keys stay on your PC while secrets in tool output are redacted before they reach the model.
Prompts have one destination. Prompts go only to the model endpoint you pick, and with a model running locally on your PC nothing leaves the machine, including scan output with your addresses and ports.
Optional features that use the network
Web search can run over an anonymizing network if you choose that, and control of chats from a phone browser uses one outbound connection and can be switched off. Update checks also contact the network. All three are optional.
Read the terms. A cloud AI provider receives the text the agent sends it, including scan output, so read that provider's own terms before you connect it to a network you care about.
Your choices
You choose the model, the working folder and the approval mode. Using a local model, skipping web search and leaving phone control off keeps your data on your PC, apart from update checks. Every action is visible.
